The supplies list call for green tissue, but I noticed you used brown paper for the stems. Which one is preferred?

Thanks! I have 2 more questions. In the craft store, I saw brown floral tape and brown tissue. The brown floral tape looks to have a similar texture as tissue paper. Is brown tissue paper still preferred between the two? If yes, how do you secure the tissue on the stem so it won’t unravel?
